What is MNRI Therapy?

The Masgatova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI) system works to integrate the primary reflex patterns within the body for proper nervous system development and efficiency of movement.

  • These reflexes are developed in-utero and continue to mature through infancy and childhood.
  • Movement is how our nervous system and brain develop. It is through the repetition of movement patterns that these primitive and innate reflexes mature through a process called "myelination."
  • When a child (or adult) has unintegrated reflexes due to having missed major movement pattern milestones, they may experience physical & cognitive developmental delays as well as and emotional/behavioral self-regulation issues leading to conditions such as autism & ADHD.
  • As adults, these reflexes may become unintegrated any time we experience trauma be it physical, psychological, or emotional.

MNRI significantly reduces the stress hormones cortisol and norepinephrine that accumulate during chronic stress and PTSD events. As a result, the body profoundly heals by returning to homeostasis and releasing trauma at the psychosomatic level.

During the application of an MNRI treatment, the client is often active on the table or on the floor and being guided by the clinician in a movement pattern. This is necessary when transforming a non-integrated reflex pattern into an integrated one. You may expect to participate when these techniques are offered to you.

Please note:

I am NOT a core specialist for MNRI therapy, but have taken 6 of the foundational/pillar courses for this method. I am excited to begin integrating and applying these techniques whenever it is in the highest interest of a client to ensure I provide the best treatments possible.
